One of the mysteries in life is why some dogs commonly smell like Doritos or Fritos. A dog smelling like this is not a strange occurrence. However, a young French Bulldog named Bentley went to get a checkup at the veterinarian because he smelled like a horse. Bentley’s mom uploaded a video to her TikTok channel @maliamakaila about Bentley’s checkup.
The video begins with a French Bulldog lying on an exam table at the veterinarian’s. The text overlay says, “I just found out my six-month-old Frenchie is actually a mini-horse.” The veterinarian examines Bentley’s ears and head. Then she leans forward and smells Bentley’s body and says, “It literally like..” And Bentley’s mom says, “It smells like a horse, “ The veterinarian then responds with, “Yeah.” Bentley’s mom laughs. The veterinarian continues to pet Bentley and says, “But I don’t get it. I don’t understand. I’m just as confused as you. I don’t think he came from a farm.” The video ends with Bentley still lying on the exam table and the veterinarian examining his eyes.

This is too funny. Thankfully there is nothing seriously wrong with Bentley. In another video, we learn that Bentley’s mom went home from the veterinarian with a special shampoo for Bentley.

The most common cause of these smells on dogs is an infection. Most likely of yeast. This can be treated with a special shampoo. This is the same kind of shampoo the veterinarian gave Bentley’s mom. Bentley will soon be back to smelling like a French Bulldog.
