You vs. Cat: There’s an App for That, Too!

One of the first posts I wrote for Pawesome was dedicated to iPad games for cats. Since then Friskies has added several more games to their repertoire, and soon they’re going to release one that will let humans in on the fun! You vs. Cat is described as “a sort of a 21st century air hockey table for you and your favorite feline friend.” Apparently they demoed the game at the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, and test-cat Buddy (pictured above) went all bananas on it. No word if he vanquished his human competitor, though. I’m guessing so; look at that focus. You vs. Cat is free and will be available later this week. Game on, cats!

Kitties Can Be Such Tech Snobs

It’s tempting to over-anthropomorphize your fuzzy buddies. To think of them as being more human than they are; imagining what they might be saying if they could speak, or thinking there’s more human motives behind their actions. But when I wake up in the middle of the night to find I’ve left the TV on and both my black cats are at the foot of the bed absolutely enthralled by a spaghetti western… perhaps I’m not over-doing it.
