Potty Patch
Guinea Pig {Product Review}

Guest post by Seth Feman and his loyal companion, Tank

When my pup was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, the prescription seemed all too simple: give him as much water as he needed (a lot!) and make him as comfortable as possible. To do both posed an obvious problem. Mature and well housetrained, he’d do his best not to pee inside, but after all that water he was desperate for a walk every hour or two. If I left him inside any longer, I’d come home to a sopping carpet and a sulking pooch. The Potty Patch seemed like a great solution.

Dog Gone Smart Lounger and Jacket
Guinea Pig {Product Review}

Can nanotech keep beds and jackets spotless?

While I don’t like to admit it, dogs can be dirty. Argo Pet Avion Carrier
Guinea Pig {Product Review}

I often get strange looks when people learn I use a pet carrier for my dog, Happy. Many even say things like, “You California people and your dogs.” There’s an assumption that if you put your pup in a carrier, you must consider your canine companion an accessory more than a pet. Not true. The use of a soft pet carrier is necessary for anyone who travels with a pet, uses public transportation or brings a small furry friend on long trips. Honest Kitchen Dog Food
Guinea Pig {Product Review}

Growing up, dog food options were limited. The old standbys — Alpo, Purina, and Dog Chow — crowded the limited shelf space at the grocery store. The world of grain-free, high protein, and organic was still a long ways away. It wasn’t until my first dog was diagnosed with cancer in 2007 that I started looking into what was going into my pup’s belly. Coincidentally, that seemed to be around the time independent companies began producing pet foods that were closer in nutritional value to what we ourselves put on our own plates.

Since then I’ve upgraded all of my pets’ foods to what I consider high quality meals, but I still rely on the convenience of opening a can or pouring out some kibble. Raw foods can be a pain since they only keep in the fridge for a few days and take up valuable freezer space for longer hauls. Cooking from scratch, while a nice idea, just isn’t realistic (especially now that there’s a baby in the house). So are my four-legged companions stuck with processed foods?
