In case you couldn’t see, the sign says “Don’t let the cat out, no matter what it tells you”.

This blissed-out kitteh is one of the famous polydactyl cats at the Hemingway Home and Museum in Key West. Last week we took an extremely long drive down the coast of Florida for a vacation of sun and key lime pie on a stick. One of our stops was Hemingway’s house, where we met this cutie who had – drum roll, please – seven! toes! He was sleeping behind a bench in front of the pool, and he smiled and smiled while my husband rubbed his tummy and I took a bazillion pictures. Plus, love the stylish purple flea collar, buddy.

I was passing by a local boxer/bully rescue at an adoption event and couldn’t resist snapping this grumpy face. But can you blame me?

The future is so bright, that this lad has to wear sunglasses.
