Winged Migration on Your Ceiling

I love these origami bird lamps from Santiago-based designers SiStudio. They are true molded origami, made from an industrial heat-resistant polyester paper. The placement of the lamps mimics how flocks of birds appear as they migrate.


Si Studio also makes wall-mounted lights in the shape of animal heads: deer, ram, and rhino are all available.

Brushing Your Pet’s Teeth, Part II

A couple of years ago, Sarah walked us through the basics of how to brush your pet’s teeth. I dutifully bought a pet toothpaste and finger tooth brush, tried to brush Birdie’s teeth once, got chomped badly on the finger for my efforts, and haven’t done anything since.
Then this weekend, while watching her yawn lazily (this happens approximately 150 times per day), I noticed a black spot on one of her teeth. Eeek! Time to attempt better home dental care yet again. Read the rest of this entry »
