Play Trivia, Feed Homeless Animals

Who doesn’t like trivia about cats and dogs? Who doesn’t love sending a little free kibble to those cats and dogs in shelters? Now you can have both! FreeKibble.com came to be in 2008 when then 11-year old Mimi Ausland, who also petitioned President Obama to make April 30th National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, wanted to figure out a way to help feed the thousands of homeless animals awaiting homes in shelters. Inspired by the online trivia game FreeRice.com, which donates rice to the World Food Programme whenever someone plays one of its trivia games, Ausland decided to develop something similar for homeless pets.
For every person who goes to FreeKibble.com each day, 20 pieces of kibble are donated to a shelter by Halo, Purely for Pets. Since 2008 over 4.5 million meals have been donated by food sponsors. You rock, Mimi. The best part about the trivia is that even if you answer incorrectly, the free kibble is still sent. You can now read her blog posts on FreeKibbleKids.com.
