…they will come, however reluctantly and loudly and for the love of god, remove me from this place with sports and people!
The Wilmington Blue Rocks, a Delaware farm team for the Kansas City Royals, had cat day at the ballpark yesterday. Like, you could bring your cat to the park and assume it won’t act like you’re the devil incarnate for doing so. Check out the story from CNBC. If the San Francisco Giants can capitalize on the dog days of summer, I suppose it stands to reason. Aside from the practical limitations (claw marks), that is.
According to the official press release from the team, the theme pays homage to the mighty feline while serving as a cat-adoption awareness builder and reminder to spay and neuter. And!
The festivities will open with musical and video tributes to some of the most famous (real and fictional) cats that society has ever seen. Plan on hearing songs from the musical Cats and any other classic tracks with a feline connection; seeing clips from shows like Garfield, Heathcliff, The Aristocats and more; and we will relive the incredible bravery of Scarlett, the heroic cat that went in and out of a burning building in Brooklyn five times to rescue her kittens a decade ago.
I love this idea so many, and I will be stalking the internet for serious until photos are available.
