I’m always excited when February rolls around. No, not because of Superbowl Sunday – it’s Oscar season, fellow film buffs! I make a point of seeing as many nominated films as humanly possible, including the shorts. What has surely made my job easier is that this year’s Best Animated Short Film nominees are available on YouTube, and they’re all great. One of the nominees is a 2D, 15-minute film called Adam and Dog by filmmaker Minkyu Lee.  Religious undertones aside (yes, it’s about that Adam, but bear with me!), it’s a wonderful tale about the bond between man and man’s best friend – even when that man becomes distracted and forgets about that bond, only to rediscover it at the end when he needs it the most. *sniff* Just watch it, okay?
