2012 was a helluva year for my family. We moved into our very own house in Oakland, which was exciting for the humans of the household, but also exciting for P. Kitty and Biggie, too. Suddenly, they had ground level windows and glass doors to peer out of and, for most of the summer, they had time out in the backyard. (Seeing them walking on grass for the first time was pretty damn hilarious.) I’ve since reconsidered letting them out after P. got a bad skin allergy from flea bites, but I think both cats are still happy in our new home.

But aside from my own cat shenanigans, I’ve enjoyed reading and seeing those of other Pawesome pets in 2012. After the jump, check out my three favorites.

OK, there have been a lot of serious posts about really important issues, but after a long day of work, sometimes all I want to look at are silly, funny pet videos. And luckily, my Pawesome brethren have found some of the best.

Kira posted this gem of a too big bulldog and the too small box — a perfect stress reliever.

Back in April, Sonia took me down hip-hop memory lane, doggy style (ew, not that way) with this Bone Pugz-n-Harmony video. Brilliant.

In September, Leda found this amazing video of a cat, chillin’ out and sitting like a person. I would’ve given my left foot to see that cat in person.

Thanks for the laughs in 2012. Can’t wait to see more hilarity in 2013.
