As the country tries to cope with the Newtown tragedy, many of us wonder what we can do to help. I came across a small way to help the family of one of the little girls who was killed. Catherine Hubbard, it says in her obituary, had a passion for animals and a constant smile. According to reports, she dreamed of opening an animal shelter one day. In lieu of flowers and to honor Catherine’s memory, her family has asked for donations to The Animal Shelter in Newtown.  Donations can be made by following this link or you can mail your memorial gift to PO Box 475, Newtown, CT 06470.
