Bowldog Makes Water Lapping Stylin’

A few weeks ago I started running with our two dogs, Milo and Chip. This is kind of a big deal since I’ve always hated running. What forced my feet? The guilt that our pups just aren’t getting the exercise they need during the week because we now have a walking toddler who wants to practice his snail’s pace steps every chance he gets. They needed some cardio in their lives and I needed an hour of alone time to get lost in my thoughts (or at least have no thoughts at all). So, my husband and I made an agreement that when Fynn goes down for his naps on Saturday and Sunday, I strap on my new running kicks and take the pups to my favorite trail.
It’s been, surprisingly, awesome. The doggles are stoked and my body is actually thanking me rather than punishing me. The only problem, I’ve realized how unprepared I am for an active lifestyle. My tatas let me know real quick that the decade old sports bra I had tucked in the drawer wasn’t going to cut it for actual, um, sports, and the dogs have reminded me after every run that I need to come up with a more practical way to rehydrate them than cupping my hands together.
The other day I discovered bowldog and am thinking of picking one up at my local pet store. They fold flat, so I can keep one tucked away in the glove compartment (and if we go to the beach for the day I can fold it into my pocket), and they’ve got some pretty cute designs. They’re laminated in a way that reminds me of Poketo’s wallets. Have you seen those?
Anyway, after the jump a few of their artistic options.
