Hello My Name Is… Sadie

Name, age, sex, breed: Sadie, 4, Shih Tzu
Owner, city: Liz Hover, Winnipeg, Canada
How I got my name: My name comes from a misunderstanding. A co-worker in my person’s office suggested ‘Satan’ but my person heard ‘Sadie.’ As it turns out, it was the only name that my person and her husband agreed on.

How we met: My person and I first met when I was only eight weeks old. Six months earlier she’d spent two weeks looking after a friend’s Shih Tzu and had fallen in love and desperately wanted her own. I arrived at my new house on August 16 and was carefully placed right in to my person’s hands. I was super tiny.
Personality type: I’m very outgoing but I can be super shy sometimes. I make a lot of noise when I meet people.

Siblings: I do have brothers and sisters but my breeder wasn’t able to provide any information about where they are.
Pet peeves: Having my bully stick removed, being told to stop chewing tissue, people coming in to my house and not paying enough attention to me. Is it really that hard to give me a belly rub people?

Favorite place to lounge: I must have been a cat in a past life. I love lying on the back of the sofa and looking out of the front room window.
Favorite foods: Can I eat it? Then I love it! Once my person baked mince pies for Christmas. She left half a dozen of them on the dining room table with a chair out. It was obviously an invitation for me to eat them. So I did.
Forbidden indulgences: Tissue, dirty underwear, dirty socks. I am responsible for making holes in the crotches of many pieces of underwear.
Strangest habits: Licking the sweat off my person when she comes back from the gym. Lying on the dining room table.

Stand-out physical feature: I’m often told how pretty I am. Usually people comment on my ears and my petite coal-black nose. But my best feature is my dark brown eyes.
Things you might not know if I didn’t tell or show you: I am a doggie blogger. I’ve been writing my blog, Hi, I’m Sadie Shih Tzu since I was a baby dog. And Ellen DeGeneres follows me on Twitter.
Thanks Sadie and Liz!
