I went to see the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at the DeYoung Museum before it closes on August 19th. Among many other wondrous garments, I saw this cheetah pelt gown, made entirely of BEADS.

While I’m grossed out by wearing an animal skin for fashion, even I had to admit that for sheer detail and inventiveness, this was pretty fantastic. (And a much preferable alternative to the real thing).
