This is probably the more bizarre stories I’ve come across on the Internet lately (oh, Internet) but apparently, there is now a hotel in Brazil with a designated floor for dog on dog, umm, relations. Siblings Fabiano and Daniela Lourdes recently opened an eight-story hotel called Animalle Mundo Pet. One of those stories is exclusively for dogs to mate. Owners looking for a discreet place to breed their dogs can rent a room for $50 a day. Fabiano says the animal must be well taken care of in order for their human to book them a room. Why would they open a doggie love hotel? Well, Fabiano says, “Our market studies showed that people work all day long and they do not know where to drop their pets for mating.”

According to the article in the Telegraph, Brazil has the second highest canine population second only to the U.S. This makes me think  they probably have a high euthanasia rate and pet overpopulation problems as well. I wonder if the Lourdes took any of those issues into consideration when they planned their canine love shack.
