Last week my family and I bought a house. I know, crazy! There are many exciting advantages to owning a house, but one of the benefits I’m most looking forward to is sharing my home with more pets (and being able to modify our home to really include them). I’ve always been a big fan of pet owners who design and decorate their homes with their furry, feathery, and scaly friends in mind and have always hoped I’d be able to do the same. Well, now we can!

I was recently inspired by a project (thanks Jessica!) by interior designer  Schuyler Samperton, who created and installed these cat boxes to scale along the human stairs of this Hancock Park house. While I don’t have stairs at the new place, I do have plenty of wall space that could accommodate some stealth kitty cubes for Pookie to lord over everyone in.
