How I got my name: I have a bunch of freckles on my tummy and I like to lie on my back all the time, so they just had to call me Freckles!

How we met: When Dominique lived in San Francisco she used to volunteer all the time with Northern California Family Dog Rescue, so when she saw their plea on Facebook for a foster home for me and my brother she jumped at the chance! Bootsie and me lived with Dominique for about a month before he found an awesome home and she adopted me!

Personality type: Everyone thinks that I should be crazy and have a ton of energy all the time because I’m part Jack Russell…but in reality, I have bouts of the crazies, but I’m also a big couch potato! I have to have at least 3 naps during the day or I’m a bit of a cranky pants! I’m a huge love bug too…dogs, cats, and people!

Siblings: There were 6 of us in my litter, but I now live with my three step-brothers: Ginger, Otter, and Pumpkin. Otter and Pumpkin like to chase and tease me all the time though!

Pet peeves: Hm, there isn’t much that I don’t love in this world. But I really hate it when Dominique goes out (no matter how long) and doesn’t take me with her! Sometimes I like to destroy anything made out of paper just to make sure she knows I’m mad.

Favorite place to lounge: I love sleeping on anything comfortable: the backs of the sofas during the day, a blanket on the warm concrete outside, and Dominique’s bed during the night.

Favorite foods: I’m a really, really, really picky eater! I don’t like hardly any type of dog food…Caesar’s puppy is practically the only food I’ll eat. But I love certain human food, especially when we go to puppy training class: bacon, cheese, hot dogs, and eggs are just a few! Yum…now I’m hungry!

Forbidden indulgences: Paper for destruction, straws left in drinks, and anything sweet I might get my paws on!

Strangest habits: Dominique says that I make the oddest sounds, they are almost inaudible…but if you don’t pay attention to me, they’ll get louder and louder and louder! I also have this thing about hair, I’ll climb on the back of the sofa, try and nuzzle in your hair, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll try and stand on your shoulders or head!

Stand-out physical feature: I have ears that stand out a mile, most of the time they fall forward, but sometimes they fly in the wind and look like the wings on a plane!

Things you might not know if I didn’t tell or show you: I’m taking the Baer test in a little more than a month, but Dominique thinks that I’m unilaterally deaf. I have a hard time hearing people and my brothers when I don’t see them, so I scare pretty easily! But I don’t care, that’s the way I come!
