When he’s not busy getting “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” in my head, Bret Michaels has another bullet point on his resume: pet-accessory designer.

Last fall, the Poison frontman announced that the Bret Michaels’ Pets Rock collection, a partnership with Pet Smart, would be available this summer. People Pets chatted with Michaels about his love for animals, especially after a health scare in 2010:

“In life, they bring me a certain peace of mind,” he says. “There’s a sense of unconditional love I get from my dogs – or, as crazy as it sounds, my rats – being around me.”

I couldn’t agree more.

The Pets Rock doo rag, guitar, and (plush) tour bus, among other in-theme goodies, are available at Pet Smart stores and online.
