I have a friend who takes an Instagram photo of his dog taking a dump every day. I gotta admit, I find it funny, but I’m not sure what his dog thinks. I couldn’t help but think of him when I saw this Good Boy lamp by UK artist Whathisname. Feeling grossed out? You should be. Whatshisname explains on his website: “Good Boy lamp (2012) was designed as an item of everyday use that makes user uncomfortable with every use. The On/Off switch is shaped as a turd that needs to be stepped on.”

Whatshisname originally made the lamp (which also comes in the puppy model, shown above) to be part of London’s the Art Below exhibition on London Underground stations. The pieces never were displayed, though, as the London Underground banned it for being offensive.
