How I got my name: We have no idea. But it doesn’t suit him at all. We call him Private Gump.

How we met: Through a posting on Facebook via Dogs Deserve Better.

Personality type: Mellow, goofy, enthusiastic, and unbelievably hilarious.

Siblings: Our two beagles Gypsy and Bogey and four cats.

Pet peeves: Fireworks, rainy weather, men in ball caps.

Favorite place to lounge: The couch and our big comfy king sized bed.

Favorite foods: Carrots, rawhides, Greenies, the occasional stolen bite of cat food.

Forbidden indulgences: Did I mention the cat food?

Strangest habits: Rubbing his butt on people he likes, howling for the ice cream man, doing a victory lap around the yard after pooping.

Stand-out physical feature: That amazing red coat and his wonderful copper eyes.

Things you might not know if I didn’t tell or show you: If you should ever be ill, he will never leave your side. He’s pretty wonderful that way. Also: He has his own Facebook page.
