It’s Going to Be a Paw-tay

I’ve been toying with the idea of throwing my pups some sort of birthday related type party but was unsure until I saw Sonia’s post and now I’m obsessed with the idea. All three of my Poms were adopted so I have no idea when their actual birth dates are but I plan on celebrating their adopt-a-versaries in the fall (if you have a better/cuter name for that, feel free to share it).

So you can imagine my delight and excitement when I came across this dog-themed party. This awesome celebration was created by the incredibly creative and talented design duo, Brittany and Sara of One Charming Party and features DIY projects and cute details that you can do for your dog’s next birthday, including printable party invitations, cupcake toppers, dog-friendly treats, striped doggie goodie bags, and more.

A lot of people call them “Gotcha Days” instead of birthdays… I celebrate my cats’ Gotcha Days every year! They don’t know why they get extra treats that day, but it’s always fun for me!

  • My friends celebrate a “Happy Gotcha” Day too for their dogs and cats.

  • That dog party is too cute! I threw a party for my husband’s dog when he turned 16. He was so old, we called it his 100th birthday party, I made homemade dog biscuits, and all the neighbor dogs came over. It was awesome!
