Hello My Name Is… Bentley

Name, age, sex, breed: Bentley, 3yrs old, male, English Bulldog
Owner/city: Matt & Caroline/Atlanta, GA
How I got my name: A friend my parents used to tailgate with passed away a few months before I was born and his last name was Bentley. He was a huuuuuuge UGA fan so they thought it would be neat to name me after him. Plus he was a funny guy and I’m a pretty funny dawg.

How we met: Online
Personality type: Mellow but spunky
Siblings: None right now, but I have lots of pals that come over… they don’t like me as much as I like them. Dad says it’s because I give too many kisses and people don’t like that.

Pet peeves: People waking me up when I’m sleeping. I only get 20 hours of night-night a day. When my parents put me in clothes. I feel sillies but it makes them happy and they give me noms and Puppy Crack so I let them … except that dumb cow costume… I hate that costume. grrrr
Favorite place to lounge: Hmmmm this is a hard one… In the yard, on the hardwoods, on the carpet, on the sofa, on a person, in my 5 beds… I can sleep anywheres.

Favorite foods: Doggy ice cream and apples. But especially apples. Nom nom nom I come running whenever my mom is cutting her apple in the morning times, I can hears it from anywhere in da house.
Forbidden indulgences: Cat doody at my grandparents’ house. Dad gets mad when I give kisses after finding my kitty treasures… I’m just sharing, sheesh.
Strangest habits: Fighting with my cousin over cat doodies. And trying to sleep sitting upright. I also like to run in circles around my tiny human neighbor girls. They scream. It’s funny.

Stand-out physical feature: My tongue hangs out of my mouth a lot. I can’t help it’s too big for my noggin. And I gots a biiiiig noggin. My snaggletooth and underbite are pretty awesome too.
Things you might not know if I didn’t tell or show you: I had a very eventful and dramatic childhood. My breeders were “not legit” as my parents say. They flew me over from Hungary when I was just tiny meatball. My Mom and Dad called and yelled at the mean peoples and even had those lawyer Gators down in Florida shut them down (told you they love me). My parents tried to have all my “flaws” fixed, but I aspirated coming out of surgery and was in ICU at the University of Georgia for 7 days. My mom and dad and grandparents cried a lot while I was in there but the pretty vet students loved on me allll day. Now I’m A-OK but my mom always tells people, “He’s had a little work done” and my uncle always asks when I’m going to get Botox… not sure what that is. My doctor did a really good job because you can’t even tell I had a nose job, an eye lift, and a slight tummy tuck. (I’ll give you his number) Everyone says I’m smart for a bulldog, well duh.
Thanks Bentley, Matt, and Caroline!

Such a pretty boy! My bulldog Emma and Bentley share the snaggle teefs, as well as the “sticky-outy-tongue” syndrome. Sometimes she falls asleep with it sticking out, and it dries up so bad she has to take a few minutes to get it slobbery again. Heh.
