If you’ve loved a pet you’ve probably been in the same boat as Amy Beckerman. Her beloved cat Steve needs costly surgery to remove bladder stones and she just doesn’t have the dough to cover it. Rather than put all the pressure on Amy, Steve turned to his pals at Moosh Moosh Music Consulting and Publishing, who have agreed to host a benefit show for him.

Steve Saves Steve: A Benefit to Save My Fuzzy Butt will feature free music from American folk revivalist Daniel Goodman, Australian singer-song writer Greta Gertler, up-and-coming songstress Jenna Nicholls, Grammy Ballot Nominee Chris Riffle, and blues vocalist Grace Love. Guests are asked to donate towards Steve’s surgery by entering the evenings raffle for prizes from Pet Central, plus several New York City vegan eateries including Blossom, Blossom du Jour, Caravan of Dreams, Cocoa V, Loving Hut, Red Bamboo, Sacred Chow, S’nice, Soy & Sake, Terri and Tiengarden.

The benefit is this Saturday, April 30th, from 7 PM to 12 AM at the Living Room, 154 Ludlow St. on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
