Hello My Name Is… Iggy

This week’s Hello My Name Is… comes from Morgan Satterfield, founder of home design blog The Brick House.

How I got my name: My first name is homage to Iggy Pop and I get called Iggy Pup quite frequently. My last name…well…one day while looking up dog names online we came upon a list of “common” dog names. Among the Spot’s and Bella’s and Jack’s was Julius Huggleman. It was so incredibly fussy and odd that it just stuck. Still makes me giggle.

How we met: In a cardboard box. A neighbors dog got knocked up by a random roaming stud and the little bastard babies needed homes. We stopped by “just to look” and ended up bringing home a dog. Those little dainty feet and that pouty face were just too much.

Personality type: Aloof. Moody. Drowsy. Like a perpetual angst filled teenager.

Siblings: None.

Pet peeves: Doorbells on TV, being woken up at anytime, anywhere, toys that are too big, the neighborhood bitch (her name is Baby Girl).

Favorite place to lounge: In bed, under the covers.

Favorite foods: Anything I’m not supposed to have, particularly beer. I am a beer hound and I go crazy for bacon. Just think of a 15 – 45 year old man; I love all of those things that are horrible for your health.

Forbidden indulgences: String cheese and beer!

Strangest habits: If woken from a nap I will immediately run into the closet and dig around in the sirty laundry. I also love to rub myself on used wet towels fresh from a shower.

Stand-out physical feature: Giant bat ears.

Things you might not know if I didn’t tell or show you: I don’t walk, only prance around like a pony. I love cats!
