Buzzfeed posted awesome photos from this Wednesday’s happening at the Algonquin Hotel in NY (HQ for Dorothy Parker and her Vicious Circle), when it celebrated the 15th birthday of its cat mascot (cascot?) Matilde. Although party guests weren’t allowed to bring their own furry pals, the festivities included a cat fashion show. I’m usually not a huge fan of dressing up animals, but I kinda wish I had been there — it looked a little bit WTF, but a little bit awesome, too. And there was a worthy benefactor for the event — proceeds from the night were donated to North Shore Animal League so at least none of the cats suffered in vain.
