How I got my name: I was rescued from a shelter by my owner, but I already had my name. And I’m orange!

How we met: My owner was in PetCo shopping for a harness for her puppy and she was greatly distracted by the display of cats from the Cat Haven shelter. She was immediately drawn to me because of my color and size. I was quite forlorn to be in this shelter, and I was not very outgoing or playful. But she could tell I was just scared.
Personality type: I am playful and extremely loving. I am kind of a mama’s boy and love to be hugged and kissed.

Siblings: I had a sister who was also at the Cat Haven shelter with me. My owner did not want to separate us, but was unable to bring my sister home as well. There were 3 other cat friends waiting at home to greet me. I now have two feline sisters, Fat Cat and Little, one feline brother named Mister Head and I also have two canine siblings (a brother named Brak and a sister named Leela) but I am still a tad intimidated by them. My canine siblings stay downstairs, and I am protected by a baby gate and I get run of the entire upstairs. It took my feline siblings a little bit of time to get used to me living in their home with them, but now we play all kinds of silly cat games together and lounge around on the big bed and soft furry blankets. I am so happy to have been rescued after my previous owner passed away; now I have a big family to enjoy!

Pet Peeves: I cannot stand for my paws to be dirty, I always wash them in my water bowl.

Favorite Place to Lounge: You can see me in the photographs in my favorite spot, between the banister on the stairwell, where I can observe the puppy and she likes to try to catch me but alas, she cannot because I am hiding upstairs. It is great fun.

Favorite Foods: I am quite the food lover, as you can tell.  I don’t get too much of a choice, but when my owner has pizza, I love  to try to sneak little scraps of her cheesy crust.

Strangest Habits: I dip my paws in my water bowl to bathe myself instead of just using my tongue and saliva.
Stand-Out Physical Feature: My mommy tells me all the time what a handsome face I have, but what stands out the most is my impressive size (19.5 lbs!).
Things You Might Not Know if I Did Not Show or Tell You: I may look large and in charge, but I am really just a big softy and a mama’s boy. I like for my mama to hug me and carry me around when no one else is watching. You also would not know that my mama has given me numerous silly nicknames, including Rustafarian, Rusta Rhymes, Big Face and Ruster Brains!
