Go See Dinosaur Bicycle to Help Save Hazel!
SF peeps looking for something to do this weekend – Go to the Hemlock Tavern on Sunday, August 29!! Our dear friend Laura Beck (of Vegansaurus, SF Vegan Bakesale, The Bold Italic, etc.) and her band Dinosaur Bicycle are playing their very first show. But the part that you probably need and want to know, it’s a benefit for Laura’s dog Hazel who needs a very expensive TPLO — tibial plateau leveling osteotomy, in case you were wondering — surgery for a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). All the money raised from the show will go to help pay for the medical fees.
Extra incentive to go? It’s only $5! Free vegan cupcakes and cookies! And Dinosaur Bicycle is sure to be an amusing trainwr… er, amazing sonic wonder to behold! Red Light Circuit, a band that is going to open for Hanson next month, is also playing.

Awesome! I’ve heard stories of blues musicians having concerts at their apartment to pay the rent, but this is really taking that a creative step further. Who wouldn’t be more inclined to go to a concert if the money went to such a good cause? And cupcakes!
