Kitty Poses 101

A repost-worthy oldie that’s re-emerged on the Internets again. My faves are the Meatloaf, the Prairie Dog, and the Flop. In case you were wondering, the artist is Lucy Knisley — if you repost, please make sure to give the artist credit, ya’all!

Doggy Dirty Dancing

There’s something about that Golden Retriever in a dress motoring around on two legs with human like arms that makes this video equally  hilarious and  disturbing.

Little Girl and Her Little Dog Too

I often hear concerned parents talk about how they would never bring in a dog from the pit bull family into their homes because of their children. It’s a valid concern when you’re inundated with media reports of dog maulings, but it’s not a fair generalization to impose on these breeds. According to temperament testing results from the American Temperament Test Society, which measures “different aspects of temperament such as shyness, aggressiveness and friendliness,” dogs within the pit bull breed group passed the test 83.9 to 88 percent of the time. Similar success rates as Golden Retrievers (84.6%).

But statistics are statistics. The best way to dismiss a stereotype is to demonstrate just how silly said stereotype is, which is what this little Brit did in this home movie about her one-eyed Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
