Survey Says Female Cats Can Be Real Biatches
I’ve only owned female cats, so I couldn’t say whether or not male or female cats are friendlier, but Linda Joyce over at Helium took a survey asking readers to vote on whether toms or tams (yeah, i made that up) are the nicer. So far, 65% of readers claim that dude cats are the friendlier felines. P. Kitty and Biggie totally disagree over here, but what do you think?

At the moment I have 2 boys… and they rule. Such great personalities. But I think a girl is needed to balance out the equation. If you have 1 cat, it doesn’t matter much. When you get into multi-cat families, you need to have a balance.

I find that boy cats are friendly to humans *and* other cats, whereas females are friendly only to humans. I have four female cats, and they all hate (or at least are very annoyed by) the other cats in the house. Except for our Joe Bob (who all the other cats hate for some indiscernible reason), the boys get along with each other pretty well.

I definitely find that my male cat (Harry) is far more easy going than my female (Gracie). Harry is a whole lot shyer, but he’s harder to piss off; with Gracie all it takes is being 2 minutes late to fill her food dish :D

I have to agree, male cats are easier going. They just want to lay around, snack, and watch TV. So we have the same hobbies.
My parents have a cat they suspect is female (it’s complicated) and it’s having trouble getting used to the new kitten they just got.
