Hot Cars and Dogs Are a No No!

It seems like a simple enough request. If it’s hot out, or even warm for that matter, do not leave your dog (or any animal or baby!) waiting in the car. Cars get hot very quickly, even if you have the windows cracked. You know they do, because at some point in your life you’ve jumped into your toasty car and burned your skin on your seat belt, steering wheel, and seat back. I know you have…

Unfortunately, no matter how many times this warning has been told to people, dog owners still leave their pups in the car. Heck, even the CEO of the Richmond, Va. SPCA made the mistake! She says she didn’t know her husband put their 16-year-old blind and deaf dog in the car while she was getting ready. The dog died after spending four hours in the overheating vehicle. Since it seems like just about anyone can make this tragic mistake, MyDogIsCool.com has designed a series of printable flyers and posters that you can print at home and then place under people’s windshields (or post up at local businesses to remind customers not to leave their dogs in the car). I’m going to print out a few and make sure I always carry some in my bag and in my own car.
