GPS-Enabled Dog Collar
Last Saturday morning I was working out in Alamo Square Park when some jackass set off a series of fireworks in the middle of the park right next to the off-leash dog area. Dogs bolted off in different directions with owners chasing after them. I ended up having to leave the park shortly after the incident, so I’m not sure if everyone was able to safely reunite with their terrified pooches, but the Lost & Find — a concept for a GPS enabled dog collar designed by Chet Rosales for Laorosa — seems like something that could come in handy in a situation like this.
Right now, this collar is not an actual product that you can buy just yet, but this is the concept behind the product: Attach the collar to your dog when you go on a walk; if your dog wanders out of sight, open the app on your mobile device and track their location via Google Maps or built-in camera with an Augmented Reality viewer.
