Doggy Vaccine Approved

Nobivac According to Animal Radio, the USDA has recently approved a vaccine that prevents canine influenza virus (CIV). Nobivac Canine Flu H3N8
has been shown to reduce the symptoms, severity, and spread of doggy flu, which is a highly contagious respiratory illness in dogs, especially dogs that are very social. The most at-risk dogs include shelter dogs, pooches that are boarded often, dog shows participants, and canines that are in daycare and training classes. I know from volunteering at a couple of animal shelters that once a dog shows any sign of having the flu, he/she is immediately quarantined because the flu can spread so quickly. This totally sucks for the pup, not only because he/she has to deal with being sick, but being quarantined means less chances of being seen and adopted! If Nobivac is really able to reduce the flu in dogs, it’ll hopefully have a major effect on getting more dogs adopted from shelters!
