Bay Area peeps: Here's another reason to go to this Saturday's SF Vegan Bakesale (note: new location at Herbivore in the Mission, not at Ike's): these vegans don't only make and sell awesome tasting goodies, give scrilla to do-gooder animal non-profits, but they also do crazy awesome things. Like this time, they'll be collecting pet fur and human hair at the bakesale and donating it to Matter of Trust, an ecological public charity group. Eventually, all this fur and hair will be used to make "hair booms" (or what I think look like sausages made out of hair) that will help collect oil from the spill of the Gulf of Mexico.
