How I got my name: My dad named me after Leonardo da Vinci, but since he speaks Spanish, my name sounds like Vincy (or even Bincy). Mom was confused at first, but now she just calls me Vincy.

How we met: Dad had a friend selling puppies. He chose me, because he wanted a big dog. He also thought I was cute, because I would always find a puddle of water to lie down in.

Siblings: I’m an only pup

 Personality type: If I’m excited, I’ll get really hyper and prance like a deer. Food and a walk will get me going nuts. Otherwise, I’m an attention whore. Pet me. Just give me love!

Pet peeves: Please, don’t touch my paws or tail. I hate that. My dad also likes to touch my wet nose. It’s annoying.

 Favorite place to lounge: Anywhere my humans are. If they let me on the couch or the bed, that’s a really good day! But otherwise, I like my LL Bean bed a lot.

Favorite foods: Did someone say food?? The only foods I don’t eat are lettuce and mushrooms. Otherwise, hand it over! In fact, when mom plants vegetables, I steal the bell peppers, zucchini, and jalapenos off the vine. Oranges and figs plucked from the tree are also yummy. And anything from the kitchen! I’m an excellent vacuum.

Forbidden indulgences: Countertop goodies. So far I’ve snagged a whole pumpkin pie, a jumbo pack of Oreos that my mom bought for her students, a bunch of bananas, a bag of gummy watermelon candies, and a stack of waffles.

 Strangest habits:When I’m excited or nervous, (usually because I just stole something from the counter), I wrinkle my nose up and smile. I look like I’m vicious, but it’s really just a smile.

Stand-out physical feature: I’m big. 115 pounds big.

Things you might not know if I didn’t tell or show you: I have bad allergies. I used to get horrible skin breakouts and hot spots. Mom took me to a special doggy dermatologist, who found out that I’m allergic to wool, dust mites, and storage mites. Now, mom has to give me allergy shots every 10 days and freeze my food to kill the mites. She also has to clean a lot. What can I say? I’m delicate.
