Feral Kitties are on… er, in the Case!

Evidence_Cat

Building 606 in the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard is an evidence storage facility for the San Francisco Police, and recently, it was discovered that a family of feral cats were living amongst the evidence, eating the large number of rats who were also populating the space. Instead of rewarding these green exterminators for a job well done, the police department were worried that the cats might be tampering with the evidence, and had the San Francisco Animal Care and Control trap and remove the cats. Four cats, including Yoda, were turned over to the SPCA to be
spayed and neutered. Yoda will eventually be adopted out, but the three adult cats will either be placed into the SPCA’s Working Cats
program or within a supervised feral cat colony
supported by Feral Fix volunteers and the SPCA. A happy ending for all!
