Good Golly Miss Molly

*Update: I went to the shelter and noticed a note telling volunteers not to use the hose with Molly. Seems like she was getting a little too obsessed with it.

It was a bit too long since I had been to the SF ACC shelter to walk some dogs. Luckily, I was able to visit over the weekend, when I met the incredible water-loving pit bull, Molly. The info on the walk board explained that she loved to play with the hose in the doggy yard so I decided to give it a try. I had no idea she was obsessed with it. What a funny nut! I tried to get her to play with other toys or just run around, but she would keep going back to the hose, pace around the water spigot, and pick up the nozzle for me to play with it. It was too cute, but I didn't want to waste too much water.

Molly is currently up for adoption. You probably can't see it in the video, but her skin has a condition called demodetic mange, which she is being treated for over the next two months. The good news: This type of mange is not considered to be contagious to humans or other animals. Find out more about mange in a post that will go up later today.

If interested in adopting Molly,go to the SF ACC adoption center website for more info, call (415) 554-6364, or go to the shelter to visit her!
