Our friends over at Dog Milk posted about My Pet Speaker, an interesting new product by Pet Acoustics that is intended to both transform your music to be more pet-friendly, and to relax your pet’s anxiety through this music.

My Pet Speaker works by transforming the frequency of your own music (you can plug in your iPod, CD player, or any other music device) to be friendly to the acute and sensitive hearing of dogs, cats, and horses, animals that hear at higher and lower frequencies than humans. The speaker system also disburses the music in 360 degrees, which is more akin to how animals hear in nature.

Pet Acoustics also offers an iPhone application that was created to calm pets with music and sounds.
