CaveLion wrote in to Ikea Hacker to share the modifications they did to a 15-inch wide Billy shelf, which now allow their two cats to climb up to the top of their fave closet without damaging the rental’s walls.

They cut holes into the shelves and added carpet so that it wasn’t slippery . To keep the shelf in place while the kitties play, CaveLion bolted the shelf to the wall with a few corner irons.
