There are tons of stereotypes around the pit bull breed, not to mention that old idea that dogs and cats just don't get along. As someone who had the pleasure to live with a dog and several cats, I know that the two species not only get along, but they enjoy each other's company. As for pits, well, when trained from birth to not be aggressive towards others there's really no reason to worry that this breed will do anyone any harm. Just to prove this, I give you Pink and McFly. 

McFly is a rescued kitten my fellow rescuer, Kim, adopted out to a wonderful couple who own a young pit bull puppy. She was worried at first about how the coupling would work out, until she got the above video. Too much!
