This is the kind of kid I'd like to raise. 

Nine-year-old Lara Goins and her friends put on a holiday concert at the Pottstown Petco in Pennsylvania on December 21 in the hopes of getting listeners to donate much needed cash to the Montgomery County SPCA. Little did she know that she would raise $1,070.20 plus a few donations of pet supplies. 

"Usually my money-raising ideas don't get very far," she told The Mercury, "but music seemed like the best idea." 

High-five to Lara for thinking about animals in need this holiday season.
